2022 North Valley Reserve Pinot Noir
"Darkly floral, the 2022 Pinot Noir Reserve is youthfully brooding, opening with a note of dried black cherry fruit offset by blue and purple floral tones. This displays a lovely balance of ripe wild berry fruits and zesty acidity, further enhanced by a tinge of blood orange. It stains the palate in a liquid flowery concentration and a coating of fine-grained tannins as a pleasant inner sweetness resonates. Today, the 2022 shows a bit of its new oak (35%), which should integrate well with a few years of cellaring." 93 Points, Eric Guido, Vinous Media
"Three vineyards comprise the Reserve: Thoma, Aegrina and X Omni Vineyards. Selected for persistence, not trying to make a big wine, but something that mirrors the vintage and the Valley. This wine is a quality blend, a barrel selection with a ripe character and ample brown spices. ‘Blending is a privilege; we can blend our way to a delicious wine without making cellar adjustments‘, according to winemaker James Cahill. There is a gaminess to this wine." 92 Points, Clive Pursehouse, Decanter
"Crushed strawberries, raspberries, dried leaves and baking spices dominate on the nose. Medium-bodied with crisp acidity. Red currant character throughout, with a juicy, acidulated finish." - 91 POints, James Suckling
