2021 Roe and Roe Vineyard Pinot Noir
"115 and 114 in this bottling, with the 114 whole cluster. The wines from Ribbon Ridge were darker in 2021, which is so, but it's beautifully balanced. The aromatic show offers cocoa powder and earth; there's a lift from the whole cluster, which shows itself as savoury and lean. The palate opens with freshness. Here, ample fig and black berry fruits are brightened by white pepper and mint. A compelling savoury edge of dried herbs cut through the dark fruits. Fantastic." 94 Points, Clive Pursehouse, Decanter
"The 2021 Pinot Noir Roe & Roe Vineyard is wonderfully floral, as a whiff of chalk dust gives way to violets, lavender and wild blueberries. Juicy and round, this flows easily across the palate, displaying red and blue fruit depths as hints of citrus and bitter dark chocolate form toward the close. The 2021 finishes classically dry, staining and long, leaving a spicy twang and youthful tension. While remarkably pretty, there's a lot of power under the hood. Lose a few bottles in the cellar." 93 Points, Eric Guido, Vinous Media
"A deep magenta color, the 2021 Pinot Noir Roe & Roe Vineyard is spicier, with toasted aromas of anise, wet stone, black cherries, and sappy herbs. It has more intensity and broader shoulders while remaining medium-framed and also has a savory and umami-rich tone through the palate, with notes of truffle on the finish. Drink 2025-2035." 92 Points, Jeb Dunnuck
